…….Poem to go With Capture………
“Log Cabin Quilt”
Honey in a jar
One spoonful a day
Maple syrup in our cash crop
Also The color of his beard
Log cabins are tucked away
With grace and breath giving hope
They create gardens that cannot help but grow
Seeds below ground that wanted nothing but to see
A vision of a bonnie lady
Mending a well worn quilt
She wears white cotton and lace
& Mornings that can not help but break
A lumberjack watches on
Eating the bread she just baked
From flour they milled together
and wheat sifted through their loving hands
He compares everything in his world to the lady
Especially the honey on the windowsill
Or the peach on the unfinished maple table
Finding there her glow and the hand woven gleam
